Cancer... I don’t think I know a single person who hasn’t been affected by cancer. I feel like everyone knows someone who has (or has had) cancer. In my family alone both of my grandfathers, an aunt, and an uncle all died from cancer. My aunt and mom are cancer survivors, and both of my parents have dealt with skin cancer. So this topic is obviously important to me.
However you have been touched by cancer, I am sending my love out to you. I know it’s hard. Enjoy the times you have. Treasure the good memories. Remember to laugh and have fun. But it’s okay to have down moments. Just remember to have love and grace for yourself.
Vickie talked a bit about her experience with a rare cancer. She has such an optimistic, beautiful outlook that she carried through her battle. I hope you feel the warmth and love that is my wonderful Aunt Vickie.
