089. I Don’t Need to Fix It with Briana Clarke

Briana Clarke
Teacher. Theatre Geek. Feminist. Queer.

Briana is so much fun to talk to and listen to! She was such a pleasure to record with. She is another friend from BYU (seeing a little pattern yet?). It should be pretty obvious, then, that she was raised in the LDS Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). She talks at length about the internal scars she has because of that.

Some things include being afraid of getting kicked out of BYU, her mom not helping her plan her wedding, and her parents being un-supportive of her relationship. While things are improving, those scars are there and will never be forgotten.

Which is why it is so important to be kind to everyone, no matter how they show up. Just be kind. That is going to be and is a recurring theme for this podcast. Just be kind.
