There’s so much that was talked about in this episode, as per usual. But I want to stick on what I will call women empowerment. So much of what Dr. Susan Madsen does is to help women use their voice and become leaders. That cannot happen if you don’t believe you’re worth listening to.

Trust me, I get that. For a very long time I didn’t think I was worth anything. I thought for awhile that my only purpose was to be happy. Put a smile on my face and go about my day making sure I didn’t bring other people down. No matter what your reason is for holding back, stop. It’s not worth it.

Because just think about what you could do. You might not even know just how big of a difference you make. But if you open your mouth and lean in to your talents, abilities, and power, you WILL make a difference. You will touch at least one other person, who in turn will affect another. Who will help another. And so goes the never ending domino effect.

Of course it’s one thing to say “lean in” and it’s an entirely different matter to actually do it. Start taking steps today. Baby steps if you need to. The first big step is to figure out what is holding you back. That, again, is way easier said than done. However, it’s totally worth the effort to figure it out. Once you find out what it is that is holding you back, you can take steps to move past it.

It may take time. And that’s okay. But do it.

Find your voice.

Find your confidence.

Find YOU.

And love that person without reservations.
